Great outdoor adventures await you in the Jewel Of the Desert. With warm winter temperatures from October through March, Gila Bend is your ideal place for getting away in the great outdoors. Catch the butterfly and bird migrations from September through October as clouds of butterflies and flocks of birds head south to Central America. Hike or ride horseback along desert trails in any one of our four wilderness areas. Enjoy the many picturesque photo opportunities that await you in the valleys and coves of the Sonoran Desert.
